HOW CAN WE HELP WITH COVID?

Wamberal Surgery are working hard to continue to provide our patients with a safe, accessible and functional practice where our patients access to healthcare continues to be our highest priority during these difficult times of the pandemic.

We have introduced Telehealth consultations where necessary for those patients that are unable to attend due to COVID symptoms, immune compromised or the elderly as well as vulnerable patients who may be at a higher risk of infection.   Our admin staff are checking all patients when booking a face to face appointment, if they have any cough, cold, fevers, sore throat or COVID like symptoms prior to booking.

If anyone is showing symptoms, they must not come into the practice.  We will offer a Telehealth consultation and the doctor will advise if COVID testing is required and where this can be done.  We will fax/email referrals, prescriptions etc to the appropriate facility for you.   Otherwise, self isolating and staying safe and at home is the advice from the Department of Health to minimise the risk of spreading any potential infection.

We have modified our waiting room and reception area and applied social distancing rules to reduce contact with others.  We continually cleanse and disinfect our waiting room, furniture, consulting rooms and all equipment to maintain a low risk environment for our staff and patients.  We support the use of face masks and personal protective equipment when required and exceptional hand hygiene is essential.   Our staff are well trained and updated regularly in making sure our patients safety and well being is looked after.
